Family Fun

All of these yachts have special rates for children. Many yachts have minimum ages for children but the typical requirement for the small ones is that they be water safe. Most charter crews really enjoy entertaining and playing with the kids but, for most, babysitting is not part of the job description.

		Amaryllis Amaryllis is a Privilege 45 with 3 staterooms and loads of deck space and water toys for an active family. They’ve reduced their rates for this year and are offering a “one child free” charter so a family of 4 can get the 3 person rate. This also encourages families with one child to bring a friend along. 		Obsession Capt. Arno is offering Personal Training based on Lance Armstrong’s Personal Fitness Training Program. There is a stationary trainer on board and gauges to monitor your heart rate and progress. There are two high tech trek bikes for excursions ashore. You can train at whatever level you’re comfortable with and chef Petra can match the level of intensity with a specially designed menu or she can prepare her regular and delightfully innovative cuisine. Learn to Sail

Whether you want to learn the basics of sailing or just want to improve on the skills you’ve already honed in your home waters, why not include a sailing certification course on your own private yacht with your own private instructor? It’s still an all-inclusive charter but, in addition, your captain is a certified sailing instructor with either US Sailing or American Sailing Association (ASA). You will improve your skills and gain the confidence to be your own captain.

In addition, since you are on board the entire time, you will gain insight into the world of cruising which you would not get if you were taking the same course from a shore-based school. Remember, there will still be time for relaxation and fun!

		Aloha Malolo Aloha Malolo is a racing machine with the stability of a catamaran and is a thrill to sail. Just look at her lines! She’s a real thoroughbred and Capt. Eric and Chef Evelin would love to sail about anywhere in the Caribbean to meet you to explore all there is to enjoy both above and below the clear, blue waters. Diving is available for certified divers. Eric is an ASA instructor and Evelin is an accredited chef who produces mouth-watering delicacies from her galley. They also offer Captain-Only charters. 		Shenemere a Beneteau 51 has three equal and private staterooms and the interior is beautifully varnished. Capt. Dave offeres ASA instruction for free. Dave and Ida are veteran charter hosts and also offer Family and Honeymoon/Anniversary specials. Rates and Availability
		Glory Glory is a CSY 37 with a king-size V-berth for one lucky couple. Captain David is a well-seasoned ASA instructor and the cost of instruction is included in the charter rate. This is a Captain-Only charter however, unlike most other Captain-Only charters, David will do the cooking offering you simply delicious fare. This is a full-service, all-inclusive charter with a crew of one. To quote David “You can kick back and have a “take me here, take me there” kind of charter with an occasional turn at the helm or a specifically tailored course with firm goals in mind.” Rates and Availability
		Pirate’s Lady Stan is an ASA instructor ($100 per student per course plus books) aboard Pirate’s Lady, a spacious Beneteau 510 which has three double cabins each with ensuite head. Stan is also a SCUBA instructor and ordained minister and does Captain-Only charters. Rates and Availability

Captain-Only

On a Captain-Only charter, you have exclusive use of the yacht and water toys and your captain will have full command of all aspects of getting you around to those delightfully secluded anchorages. The charter rate includes the yacht and captain (no chef) and you are responsible for all operating costs such as provisions (both for you and the captain), fuel and water. This gives you total control over the amount you want to spend on the things that matter most to you.

You may decide to eat all your meals ashore or spend the night in a marina. The choice and costs are yours. This chartering option can be the most economical way to experience the beauty of our clear blue waters and white sandy beaches as a hands-on (you cook), team spirited holiday.

Some yachts offer variations on the typical Captain-Only charter and the details will be thoroughly discussed prior to booking.

		Aloha Malolo Aloha Malolo, a 65’ steel hull monohull, has 3 guest cabins and an inviting décor. Eric and Evelin are fine hosts and are known for sailing almost anywhere in the Caribbean to meet their charter guests from the Grenadines to the San Blas islands. There is diving for the certified divers and Eric is also an ASA instructor for those looking to improve their sailing skills. Although this is a Captain-Only charter, you may still find Evelin in the galley lending a helping hand. Rates and Availability
		Liberté Liberté, a 72’ monohull, accommodates 8 guests in 2 queens and 2 doubles. The large shaded cockpit is the center of socializing and the salon luxuriously comfortable as are the staterooms. 		Glory Glory, a CSY 37 with a king-size V-berth and ASA Certified Instructor Captain David on board, is a real deal as the rate includes the captain as cook which is unusual on a Captain-Only charter. 		Grand Oasis Grand Oasis, a 60’ custom designed trimaran, has accommodations for 10 guests. There’s fishing gear, lots of water toys and incredible deck space to include 2 shaded cockpits. Capt. Jeff has been a charter captain for years and really knows how to show his guests a special time. There is diving for certified divers at $25 per person per dive. 		NSS Pattam NSS Pattam is a 84’ DeFever with 4 staterooms and lots of deck space to include a huge topside sun deck excellent for lounging under the sun or stars. By the Cabin

Some yachts occasionally offer bookings by the cabin. This means that you will have your own private cabin but share the yacht with others. It’s a great way to meet people with similar interests and make new friends. Don’t forget that these fine yachts spend the rest of their time doing regular private crewed charters (except Cuan Law).

		Caribbean Soul Captain Ken loves diverse groups and offers By the Cabin charters several times a year. Caribbean Soul can accommodate up to 3 couples and the price is generally around $4,000 per couple to include all meals, drinks and cocktails and water toys. Rates and Availability

Diving

One of the best ways to enjoy the beauty of our island waters is from below. The waters are clear and warm and the abundance of lively, colorful marine life is spectacular. Whether you’re already a certified SCUBA diver or would like to become one, diving from your own private yacht is pure diver’s joy. If you want to become a certified diver, it’s recommended that you complete your book work at home and save your check out dives for our clear blue waters.

Some yachts offer a “Resort Course” designed to give non-certified divers a taste of the wonders beneath the water’s surface. All yachts offer different deals with some including the cost of diving in the charter rate while others charge a per dive fee or for gear rental.
